App Store
App Store
Store Switch does not change your Apple ID country. It opens another App Store so you can read ratings, reviews, and charts. Purchases, subscriptions, and the account country still follow your Apple ID.
Germany uses euros. The chart is still Germany’s
The German App Store is the DE storefront. Apple shows prices in euros. Charts, reviews, and listing text are largely in German. People often call it the German store, or 德区.
The France store also uses euros, and it is a different French-language chart. An € sign does not tell you which European storefront you opened. Austria is also its own store, not a nickname for Germany.
Browse the German App Store
- Stay signed in to your current Apple ID.
- Choose Germany in Store Switch, or open the German store link.
- Read German ratings, reviews, and charts. The account country stays put.
A German Apple ID is the account
A German Apple ID is an account set to Germany. Buying there needs a German payment method and billing address. That is Apple’s country change. Opening the German chart does not set the account to Germany.
Open the storefront on your iPhone
Store Switch is free on the App Store. Pick a region, open that store, and leave the Apple ID country where it is.
