App Store
App Store
Store Switch does not change your Apple ID country. It opens another App Store so you can read ratings, reviews, and charts. Purchases, subscriptions, and the account country still follow your Apple ID.
The Russia store uses rubles and a Russian chart
The Russia App Store is the RU storefront, priced in rubles. Charts, reviews, and listing text are largely in Russian. People often call it the Russia store, or 俄区. Store Switch itself has a Russian UI, which is one reason people look up this storefront.
Other countries that use Cyrillic still have their own stores. Opening the Russia page does not move the account to those countries, and it does not move it to Germany or the United States.
Browse the Russia App Store
- Stay signed in to your current Apple ID.
- Choose Russia in Store Switch, or open the Russia store link.
- Read Russian ratings, reviews, and charts. Purchases still follow the account you already use.
In a computer browser, Apple may still redirect by location. Store Switch on iPhone is the more reliable way to open the Russia storefront.
A Russian Apple ID is the account
A Russian Apple ID is an account set to Russia. Buying there needs a payment method Apple accepts for that country, and whatever account conditions Apple applies at the time. That is a country change. Store Switch does not create a Russian Apple ID, and it does not complete a purchase for you.
Open the storefront on your iPhone
Store Switch is free on the App Store. Pick a region, open that store, and leave the Apple ID country where it is.
